adeus

Antigamente tínhamos tanto para dar um ao outro;

E eu acreditava.
Acreditava,
porque ao teu lado
todas as coisas eram possíveis.

eram realmente peixes verdes.
Hoje são apenas os meus olhos.
É pouco, mas é verdade,
uns olhos como todos os outros.

Já gastámos as palavras.
Quando agora digo: meu amor,
já se não passa absolutamente nada.
E no entanto, antes das palavras gastas,
tenho a certeza
que todas as coisas estremeciam
só de murmurar o teu nome
no silêncio do meu coração.

Aguardem!

Name of the post:  Goodbye
Monologers, Hello!

I have great respect for letters, words and well written and well spoken phrases. I do not usually look for poems, they usually come to me and I like it so much when it happens, it wakes me very curious for the reason that for me things do not just happen, there is a reason for everything, even if not know what the reason is.
Then came the poem by Eugenio de Andrade (1923-2005), read countless times and every time I read more I will not finish this, I love to savor the words and images to create each sentence I read, makes me somewhat way to work the imagination and enjoy the illuminating words, ie, Poetry.
So I leave you with "Goodbye" of Eugénio de Andrade.

Goodbye

We spent the words on the street, my love,
and what was not enough in
to ward off the cold of the four walls.
We spent all but silence.
We spent my eyes with the salt of tears,
we spent hands to force the we press,
we spent clock and the corner stones
useless waits.

I put my hands in my pockets and find nothing.
Previously we had so much to give to each other;
it was as if all things were mine:
the more I gave you I had more to give you.

Sometimes you said: your eyes are green fish.
And I believed.
believed,
because by your side
all things were possible.

But it was in the time of secrets,
was the time when your body was an aquarium,
was the time that my eyes
were really green fish.
Today are just my eyes.
It's little, but it's true,
some eyes like everyone else.

We spent the words.
Now when I say my love,
it does not pass anything.
Yet, before the spent words,
I'm sure
that all things trembled
just mumble your name
in the silence of my heart.

Do not we already have nothing to give.
Inside you
there is nothing to ask me water.
The past is useless as a rag.
And I already told you: the words are exhausted.

Goodbye.

There was one day I heard that "The literature professors spoil the poems because they try to unravel them" as much respected and agreed with these words, I will not say anything, I will not attempt to unravel or pass along to you what I feel. At the discretion of each.
I hope you enjoyed the poem and you like this kind of post, I always wanted to post a poem that just as I said, the poem I had not yet "arisen". I had the need to share with you and I think I did well, I think and feel.

Monologers, in principle'll see on Wednesday to play Tribes by Nina Raine, played by Brazilian actors at the Tivoli Theatre.
